Responsibilities of the ORA:
The Office for Research Administration will be responsible for channeling all communication between
the Healthcare Operators, Healthcare Professionals, Investigators, Sponsors and the DHCC Research Council and the various committees of the ORA
Divisions of the ORA:
The Research Compliance & Training division will promote continuous Quality Improvement (QI) by conducting on-site evaluations of research activities to assess the level of compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements, identify the potential for improvement, and assist study personnel in achieving full compliance. As part of its QI work, the RC & T office will also provide research personnel with educational opportunities to broaden their undrestanding of ethical and scientific developments in clinical research.
The Grants, Contracts & Intellectual Property division will oversee the review of research/clinical trial agreements made by applicants and faculty prior to the execution of these contracts. This oversight is meant to ensure that these agreements include indemnification provisions and are in accordance with DHCC Regulations (including Research Regulations) and applicable institutional policies and procedures (such as the Human Research Protection Program), among other considerations.
